Introducing $BANANA-Drives: Part 1
We love our community ❤️ And I mean L-O-V-E them! We have small apes, big apes, boy apes, girl apes, old and young apes, smart and silly apes.
With such positive vibes, we figured we should take it one step further. Introducing ApeSwap’s Official $BANANA-Drives!
How do $BANANA-Drives work?
$BANANA-Drives are a community driven funds to help those apes in need. Simply put, here’s how they work:
- For a 3 day window, we open up a donation address where community members can send $BANANA ($BNB & other BEP-20 tokens are also accepted). We will start the drive with some initial funding.
- After the period closes, 80% of the amount raised is sent directly to the recipient of the drive.
- 20% of the amount raised is kept and staked for the long-term. This $BANANA will be staked and the interest earned will be used to give back to the community in other ways (we’ve heard stories about cancer treatments, typhoon victims, etc. that could all use a little help).
Our First $BANANA-Drive: KongKyle’s Health
You might’ve seem him around the ApeSwap Telegram chat, with his light profile picture and dark sense of humor. KongKyle is truly one of us. But behind his high-spirits, there’s a lot going on.
A year and a half ago, he was a normal, healthy ape. He just moved into a new house with his monkey wife and recently was promoted… then it all took a turn for the worse.
He was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma that was 2.5cm in size, and required surgery to get rid of it. He spent 4 months recovering without work. Had to sell his precious crypto to stay afloat.
Now he has continued heath issues — an incessant ringing in his head, dizziness, partially-deaf. Plus I didn’t even mention his spinal and hip problems. This prevents him from getting a job, and when he did try to go back to work, the doctor’s said the stress was quite literally killing him.
As we speak, KongKyle is in the hospital trying to figure out his exact next steps and what the issues are.
He’s not sure what but we know it’s not cheap.
How can we help KongKyle?
KongKyle has some medical bills he needs paid to get a cochlear implant to help with some of his hearing and other issues. If you have the kindness in your heart to donate even a single $BANANA we can start to get KongKyle back on his feet ❤️
